The Landrum Social Studies curriculum focuses on the geography, history and culture of Texas, the United States and the world. We want students to be exposed to issues and concepts past and present that impact their world. We want them to be able to speak, think and write fluently about current issues and understand how they are impacted by the past.
Sixth Grade-World CulturesSocial Studies in the sixth grade is an introduction to the concept of culture through the study of world cultures and geography. We want our students to have an appreciation for the diversity of world cultures.

Eighth Grade-American HistoryEighth-grade Social Studies is the study of American History from its beginnings thru Reconstruction. It also covers the basic structure of American Government and discusses various principles of Economics and Citizenship.
