About Me

• I have been teaching for six years.  I began my career in education as a high school English teacher.  I spent four years teaching high school in HISD and then joined the staff here at Landrum Middle School just last year as a sixth grade LA teacher. This year I am teaching seventh grade Texas History.  I am super excited about the switch to the SS department. I will miss teaching LA but not only do I get to spend another year with the amazing class of 2016 but I also get to teach a subject the is near and dear to my heart.  My family has roots in Spain, France and Italy but we have been here in Texas for thirteen generations.  Many of my family members were amoung the first settlers of Texas and I can not wait to share these stories with my students.

Edmodo is an educational site that uses the ideas of a social network to create a classroom website.  Students can contact teachers and teachers can contact students can contact teachers students by sharing ideas, problems, assignments, videos and helpful tips. Students can ask the teacher or other students for help.  A teacher can assign and grade work trough Edmodo.  It is a safe enviornment.  There is no bullying or inappropriate contentbecause the teacher can see (and delete) everything that is posted.  Parents can also join a class with limited use; they can send a message to the teacher or to their student and view calanders.(clayton2.ittr.schooldesk.net)
